STEUBEN REPUBLICAN, WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 23, 1903, page 1, column 6 MARY ANN (KELLE) GRIM, 13 Oct 1835 - 12 Dec 1903 Mrs. William Grim Mary Ann Kelle was born in Columbiana county, Ohio, Oct. 13, 1835, and departed this life Dec. 12, 1903, aged 68 years, one month and 29 days. The immediate cause of her death was paralysis, she having sustained a stroke Dec. 6th. Deceased was married to William Grim, August 1, 1852, and to the union were born three sons and one daughter, all of whom with the father survive her. She was a kind and affectionate wife and mother, and will be missed not only in the home that was so sacred to her and hers, but in the neighborhood where she was loved and honored. In her younger days she became a member of the United Brethren church and was faithful until death. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. F. Carpenter. The Steuben Republican, 24 Aug 1904, states Mary Ann died near Fremont. POSSIBLE CHILDREN: Ella (Grim) Watters, 1857 - 1933, married George Watters, 24 May 1849 - 24 Jul 1932. They are buried at Fremont Cemetery. George W. Grim, 1859 - 1933, married Mary Jane (Michael) Grim, 1857 - 22 Mar 1948. They are buried at Lakeside Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana. The 1880 United States Census for Fremont, Steuben County, Indiana, Family History Library Film #1254312, NA Film Number T9-0312, page number, 356C, lists a son, George Grim, age 21, as a member of the family.
