STEUBEN REPUBLICAN, WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 28, 1903, page 1, column 6 LUCIUS W. HALL, 06 Nov 1833 - 05 Jan 1903 Lucius W. Hall who died at his home in LaGrange county, Ind., Jan. 5, 1903, was born in Cayuga county, New York, Nov. 6, 1833, and came to LaGrange county in 1845, where on Jan. 2, 1859, he was joined in marriage with Harriet H. Simmons. To this union were born six children, four boys and two girls, all of whom survive him except Milo L. who died at the age of 4 « years. Mr. Hall was engaged in the mercantile business at Flint in Steuben county for about 17 years, prior to 1882. He was a man of influence in society and had the confidence of people with whom he associated. For eight years he served as township trustee, and for 27 years as justice of the peace, during which time he joined eighty couples in marriage. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Lucius W. Hall, 02 Oct 1862 - 22 Mar 1866, buried at Flint Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana. This is the only child named "Hall" that is identified as their child in the Cemetery book.
