STEUBEN REPUBLICAN, WEDNESDAY, 09 MAR 1887, p.8, c.4 ELIZA (WOLF) HANSELMAN, 31 Aug 1812 - 01 Mar 1887 Eliza Wolf was born in York county, Pa., August 21, 1812. On January 10, 1833, she was married to David Hanselman of Columbiana county, O., and in 1845, moved with her husband to Steuben county, and died March 1, 1887, aged 74 years and six months. She had been a member of the Church of Christ for nearly 40 years. None knew "Aunt Eliza" but to love her. She will be greatly missed by many. Now that her place on earth is vacant her memory will be cherished by many survivors. Her aged companion is left to make the rest of life's journey without the presence of her who, for over half a century, had cheered and brightened his home. In his loneliness, he will have the sympathy of all his friends. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Eliza (Wolf) Hanselman, born in York County, Pa., 31 Aug 1812, on 10 Jan 1833 married David Hanselman of Columbiana County, OH. She died 01Mar 1887. They are buried at Circle Hill Cemetery, Angola, Steuben County, IN. The 1880 U. S. Census for Scott, Steuben County, IN., lists only grandchildren living in the home with David and Eliza: Francis (should be Frances) Hanselman, granddaughter, age 34; Fred Hanselman, grandson, age 9; Georgie Hanselman, granddaughter, age 5.
