STEUBEN REPUBLICAN, WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 21, 1894, page 5, column 4 GEORGE W. HANSELMAN, 12 Apr 1824 - 18 Nov 1894 DIED at his home in Jadkson township, Nov. 18, 1894, George W. Hanselman, aged 70 years, 7 months and 6 days. Deceased was born in Columbiana county, Ohio, April 12, 1824, and in 1848 he moved go this county where he has since resided. In 1848 he was married to Miss Jane Kelly, who died about five years ago, leaving two sons, one child having died in infancy. Mr. Hanselman was married the second time about four years ago to Miss Wilbur. His last illness was very brief, the immediate cause being a stroke of paralysis last Friday while returning from Pleasant Lake. Funeral services at the late residence Tuesday, Nov. 20th, and burial in the Crockett cemetery, E. A. Cole, officiating. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: George W. Hanselman, 12 Apr 1824 - 18 Nov 1894, on 05 Dec 1847, married Sarah Jane (Kelly) Hanselman, 26 Apr 1831 - 06 Apr 1889. Sarah is buried at Crockett Cemetery. George's obituary says he is buried at Crockett Cemetery; however, do not find him in the Cemetery book. On 27 Sep 1890, George married Diana Wilbur (marriage license has Wilber). No record of her burial place. The "History of Steuben County, IN - 1885, has little on the Hanselman family. Perhaps George is a relative (brother?) of David C.
