STEUBEN REPUBLICAN, WEDNESDAY, APRIL 17, 1901, page 1, column 5 SOPHRONIA (WING) HARDING, 12 Jul 1804 - 15 Oct 1877 Mrs. George Harding, one of the old settlers of this county, died at her home in Orland on Monday evening, Oct. 15, aged 73 years. She married her surviving husband, July 15, 1842, and most of their married life they lived on land entered by Mr. Harding, the first purchased from the government in Jamestown township. (This obituary is from an article titled, "24 Years Ago"). ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Sophronia (Wing) Harding, 12 Jul 1804 - 15 Oct 1877, aged 73 years, 3 months and 3 days. She was the 2nd wife of George Harding, 12 Jul 1812 - 06 Nov 1894. His 1st wife was Diana (Mortimer) Harding, died 13 Jan 1842 in her 25th year. His 3rd wife was Emeline Mallory, 12 Jan 1833 - 12 Jan 1915. All of them are buried in the Harding section of Jamestown Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana. One son was born to George and Sophronia, George Wallace Harding, 1844 - 1923, married Florence Elida (Flint) Harding, 1849 - 1918, daughter of Amos and Lucy Flint.
