GEORGE R. HERSHEY, 25 Jan 1811 - 10 Jul 1898

   George R. Hershey was born in Ontario county, N. Y., Jan. 25, 
1811, was joined in marriage, April 6, 1837, with Miss Joanna 
Freleigh, and came to Steuben county in 1849.  He was the father of 
ten children, six of whom with his aged companion, survive him.  He 
was a good citizen and neighbor and kind in his family.  He died at 
the home of his son, Latta F. Hershey, in Jamestown township, July 
10, 1898.  Funeral services were held at the home on Tuesday, July 
12, Elder ____  ______ officiating.  Burial in the old cemetery near 
Angola.

and Joanna.
   Latta F. Hershey, 29 Apr 1858 - 22 Aug 1938, married Rosetta 
(Richardson) Hershey, 17 Mar 1862 - 14 Feb 1898.
