CHARLES FOUNTAIN HODGES, 27 May 1824 - 28 Feb 1900 DIED at his home in York township, Steuben county, Indiana, Feb. 28, 1900, Charles Fountain Hodges, aged 76 years, 9 months and 1 day. Deceased was born In Monroe county, New York, May 27, 1824, and came to Steuben county in 1845, settling in the Powers neighborhood where he resided until his death. In 1849 he was united in Marriage to Miss Millie Jarvis, and to the union were born three children. One died in infancy, and two survive him, Stephen J. and Mrs. Rachel Reed, who live on the old home farm. In the death of Mr. Hodges our county loses another of its pioneers and a man honored and respected by all who knew him. Funeral services were held at the Powers church, March 2nd at one o'clock, Rev. F. M. Kemper, of Angola, officiating. Hodges, 11 Apr 1854 - 19 Aug 1854. Rachel (Hodges) Reed, 1855 - 1933, 2nd wife of Earl Reed, 11 Nov 1852 - 06 May 1925. Stephen J. Hodges, 1863 - 1927, married Edith M. (Fifer) Hodges, 1881 - 1965.
