STEUBEN REPUBLICAN, Wednesday, April 21, 1897, pg. 8, col. 1 Mary Ann (Campbell) Johnson, 26 Aug 1825-16 Apr 1897 Mrs. Mary Johnson died very suddenly Friday, April 16. 1897. She had been visiting that day, coming home about dark, and about midnight she died. She was 71 years, 7 months and 21 days old. When quite young she united with the M. E. Church and afterward with the Congregational. She left four sons, four daughters and a sister to mourn their loss. Funeral services were held at the late residence, interment at Jackson Prairie cemetery. Johnson, born about 23 Oct 1812-12 Mar 1888. Sister: Eliza Jane (Campbell) Stayner, 21 Feb 1828-21 Oct 1883, married Milton Stayner, 12 Dec 1824-09 Apr 1911, son of John and Sarah (Huntsman) Stayner. These children listed in "Cemeteries of Steuben Co., Ind., 1990" by Audree Siebel Lewis, Vol. I, pages 985, 989, 990, 992. Son: Isaac Johnson, 26 Dec 1843-01 Oct 1905, married Amanda R. (Goodrich) Johnson, born 07 Mar 1847, no date of death. Son: Grorge Klum Johnson, 1848-1925. Dgtr: Mary A. Johnson, 04 Mar 1852-07 Mar 1852.
