Steuben-Republican October or November 1895
        
        At his home in Angola, Oct. 16, 1895, Samuel Davis Johnson, aged 
47 years, 7 months and 17 days. Deceased had always made his home in 
this county with the exception of a few years when he lived at Reading, 
Michigan.  He leaves a wife and five children to mourn their loss.  The 
funeral services were held at the Fairview Church, conducted by Elder 
E.A. Cole, interment in Jones cemetery in Scott.
