MARY (FAILOR) KLINK, 16 Mar 1804 - 22 Nov 1891 DEATHS In Salem township, Nov. 22, 1891, Mrs. Mary Klink, aged 87 years, 8 months and 6 days. Mary Tailor (incorrect spelling) was born in Cumberland county, Penn. In July, 1827, she was married to Christian Klink, and to them were born nine children, eight of whom are still living. She was one of the early settlers of Steuben County, moving here with her husband in 1847, and died on the farm where they first settled. She united with the Luthern church when quite young and lived a peaceful and devoted life until the Master called her home. She was an industrious, energetic woman, a good mother, and loved by most of those who knew her best. The funeral services were held at Mount Zion church, Nov. 25, conducted by Rev. J. A. Beatty. She married Christian Jacob Klink Jr, born 10 Sep 1793 in Sieglesburg, Wurtemberg Provice, Germany; died 18 May 1872. They are buried at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Steuben County, IN. Christian is the son of Christian Jacob Klink Sr., born 31 Aug 1772 in Sieglesburg, Wurtemberg Provice, Germany. He died about 1839 in Sandusky, Sandusky County, OH. On 04 Sep 1792 in Murrhardt, Germany, He married Katherina Cronmiller, born about 1775. CHILDREN OF THE MARRIAGE OF CHRISTIAN JACOB KLINK JR AND MARY/MARIA (FAILOR) KLINK: DGTR: Louisa (Klink) Brugh, born 19 Jul 1827 in Cumberland County, PA; died 29 May1919. On 14 Jun 1846 in Seneca County, OH, married William Brugh, burial place unknown. SON: John Klink, born 01 Mar 1829 in Richland, OH; died 13 Jan 1866. He married Elizabeth (Meek) Klink on 02 Sep 1835 - 24 May 1892. Her 2nd husband was William Craig, no other info on him. John and Elizabeth are buried at Mt. Zion Cemetery. DGTR: Caroline C. (Klink) Parsell, born 05 Dec 1830 in Richalnd, OH; died Apr 1922. On 06 Feb 1853 she married Thomas B. Parsell, 12 Jun 1829 - 10 Mar 1872, son of Moses S. Parsell, 12 Feb 1797 - 14 Nov 1839, and his 2nd wife Hannah (Crilley) Parsell, 11 Oct 1799 - 18 Aug 1846. They are all buried at Flint Cemetery, Steuben County, IN. DGTR: Christina (Klink) Wilson, 13 Oct 1832 - 10 Nov 1907, on 24 Apr 1862, married Edward Hazelet Wilson who died 27 Feb 1894, date of birth unknown. They are buried at Flint cemetery. DGTR: Catherine (Klink) Brown, 13 Oct 1834 - 24 Apr 1925, on 01 Apr 1858, married Moris Brown, 10 Jun 1838 - 17 Dec 1915, son of Charles and Nancy E. (Hotchkiss) Brown. They are buried at Flint Cemetery. SON: Michael Klink, 09 May 1836 - 15 Jul 1903, on 12 Jan 1860, married Cynthia (Conklin) Klink, 12 Jul 1842 - 09Jul 1917. They are buried at Mt. Zion Cemetery. DGTR: Mary A. (Klink) Wilson King, 03 Jun 1838 - 08 Feb 1914, on 08 Dec 1859, married Newell A. Wilson, 18 Jul 1837 - 22 Aug 1864. He was a member of Co. A, 44th Indiana Volunteer Infantry and died in the Civil War. On 21 Nov 1872, she married George W. King, 23 Jun 1831 - 18 Apr 1905. They are buried at Flint Cemetery. DGTR: Elizabeth (Klink) Parsell, 30 Nov 1840 - 03 Sep 1926, on 21 Apr 1864, married Wickliff W. Parsell, 1819 - 27 Jan 1888. They are buried at Mt. Zion Cemetery. SON: Eli Klink, 15 Oct 1843/44 - 27 Apr 1909, on 24 Sep 1868, he married Syrena A. (Deller) Klink, 14 Jul 1851 - 17 Aug 1925 per Cemetery Book. They are buried at Mt. Zion Cemetery. The 1880 U. S. Census shows his mother who was widowed in 1872 was living with Eli and his family.
