STEUBEN REPUBLICAN, WEDNESDAY, JULY 22, 1903, page 1, column 3 MICHAEL L.KLINK, 09 May 1836 - 15 Jul 1903 Michael Klink was born in Seneca county, Ohio, May 9, 1836, and died at his home in Salem township, Steuben county, Ind., July 15, 1903, aged 67 years, 2 months and 6 days. He removed with his parents to Steuben county in October, 1847, and in January, 1860, was united in marriage with Miss Cynthia Conklin. He combined in his character the free hospitality, honest integrity and indomitable will of his German ancestors, and the qualities which fitted him for a pioneer he possessed to an eminent degree. He was the father of four children, Oscar Klink, of Aurora, Ill.; Mrs. Lovilla Crain, of Angola, Ind.; Mrs. Augusta Ling, of Rockford, Ohio, and Mrs. Louie Chilson, of Salem Center, Ind. Funeral services were held at the home, July 17, conducted by Rev. C. K. Stockwell, pastor of the Congregational church in Angola. Burial in Mt. Zion cemetery. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Michael L. Michael was the son of Christian Klink, 10 Sep 1793 - 18 May 1872, and Mary (Failor) Klink, 16 Mar 1804 - 22 Nov 1891. They are all buried at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana. CHILDREN: Lovilla (Klink) Crain, 17 Sep 1861 - 1957, on 05 Jan 1882, married Chester M. Crain, 1855 - 1920, the son of Abram D. Crain, 04 Jun 1825 - 19 Nov 1898, and Harriet D. (Perry) Crain, 19 Nov 1825 - 30 May 1897. They are all buried at Circle Hill Cemetery, Angola, Steuben County, Indiana. Augusta (Klink) Ling, on 27 Oct 1887, married Charles Ling.
