Steuben-Republican 15 June 1904

        Sarah Elizabeth Knight, daughter of Ervin and Susan Knight, was 
born near Pleasant Lake, July 19, 1863 and died at Angola June 11,1904, 
aged 40 years, 10 months and 22 days.
        She was united in marriage to Laurence Dauber, December 24,1883 
and they moved to Nebraska in the spring of 1884 and returned to Indiana 
in 1893.  To this union was born four children, one dying in infancy.  
Besides the husband, two daughters and one son, she leaves a father, two 
sisters and two brothers to mourn their great loss.
        Mrs. Dauber united with the Fairview Christian Church in January 
1902 and was a faithful christian  and a devoted sufferer during her 
illness of many weeks.  Her death resulted from an operation performed 
three weeks before. She will be greatly missed in her home where her 
hands were always busy with care for others and here the fond, 
sacrificing mother is only a memory.  "Blessed are the dead who die in 
the Lord." Funeral services were held on Monday, conducted by Elder 
Stauffer.
