STEUBEN REPUBLICAN, WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 8, 1902, page 1, column 6 MARGARET (VanSYCKLE) LaBARR, 07 Jan 1830 - 29 Sep 1902 Margaret VanSyckle was born in Newton, New Jersey, Jan. 7, 1830, died in Angola, Ind., Monday, Sep. 29, 1902, aged 72 years, 8 months and 22 days. Moved with her parents to Stroudsburgh, Pa., where she was married to Leonard LaBarr, Aug. 11, 1853. In 1855, Mr. and Mrs. LaBarr came west to Michigan, and about 20 years ago settled in Steuben county, Ind., which has since been their home. She is survived by her husband, two daughters--Mrs. Ella Burton and Mrs. Minnie Hubbard, both of Chicago, and one granddaughter, Miss Margaret Hubbard. Deceased was a member of the Angola Christian church and died in the full assurance of unfailing Gospel promises. Funeral at the home, Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 1. Elder C. S. Medbury officiating.
