LEWIS LAHMON, 03 Jan 1825 - 01 Jan 1905

   Lewis Lahmon, son of Wm. And Elizabeth Lahmon, was born in 
Knox county, Ohio, Jan. 3,1825, and died at his home in 
Steuben county, Ind., Jan. 1, 1905, aged 79 years, 11 months 
and 28 days.
   Deceased came to Indiana in 1852, and was united in 
marriage with Martha Carson, Feb. 18, 1853.  To this union 
were born two children; William H. and Maria E., both of whom 
preceded him in death.  After the death of his wife, Oct. 28, 
1860, he returned to Ohio, and made his home with his mother.  
Dec. 11, 1869, he was again united in marriage with Rhoda A. 
Barnes, of Knox county, Ohio.  He moved to Illinois, the same 
year where he resided until 1871, when he returned to Steuben 
county, Ind., where he remained until his death.  To this 
union were born three children, Lewis H., Guy W., and Burr 
A., all whom survive him.  Burr is at present in the 
Philippine Islands, Lewis and Guy remaining at home 
faithfully caring for their father in his declining years.  
He leaves three sons, one grand-daughter and a host of 
relatives and friends to mourn their loss.  He was a kind 
father, an honest and upright citizen and was respected by 
all who knew him.
   Funeral services were held at the South Scott church, Jan. 
2, 1905, and the funeral sermon was preached by Elder Vernon 
Stauffer.

married his 1st wife, Martha (Carson) Lahmon who died 28 Oct 
1860, no other information.  On 11 Dec 1869, he married his 
2nd wife, Rhoda A. (Barnes) Lahmon, 27 Mar 1839 - 15 Jun 
1899.
   Lewis was the son of Willhelm (William) Lehman, born in 
Mar 1781 in Frederick County, MD, and died 15 Jun 1851 in 
Pike Township, Knox County, OH, who, on 21 Dec 1804 in 
Rockingham County, VA, married Elizabeth (Armentrout) Lehman, 
born about 05 Jun 1781 in Rockingham County, VA, and died 14 
Oct 1866 in Knox County, OH.

   Guy W. Lahmon, born about 1878.
   Burt Lahmon, born about 1880.

County, OH, married Rebecca (Spurgeon) Lehman.  No other

   Elizabeth (Lahman) Johnson was born 14 Jul 1807 in 
Rockingham County, VA, on 25 Nov 1838 in Knox County, OH, 
married Henry Johnson.  No other information.
   Lidia Lemmon was born about 1808 in Rockingham County, Va.  
No other information.
   Catherine Lemmon was born 03 Aug 1808 in Rockingham 
County, Va.  No other information.  
   Johan George Lahmon, was born 22 Nov 1810 in Rockingham 
County, VA, and died 10 Aug 1898 in Knox County, OH; married 
Hannah (Heymer) Lahmon, born 1811 in N.Y., and died 09 Apr 
1878 in Knox County, OH.
   Johan Willhelm Lahmon was  born 29 Sep 1812 in Rockingham 
County, VA, and died 20 Mar 1888 in Allen County, IN; married 
1st, Catherine (___) Lahmon; married 2nd on 01 Nov 1838 in 
Knox County, OH, to Rebecca (McElroy) Lahmon.
   Jacobus Lemmon, born 24 Aug 1814 in Rockingham County, VA, 
married Margaret (Humprey) Lemmon.  No other information.   
   Abner Lemmon was born 04 Jun 1818 in Washington County, 
PA, and died 04 Mar 1879 in Knox County, OH, on 09 Oct 1831 
in Knox County, OH, married Elizabeth (Keller) Lemmon.  No 
other information.
