STEUBEN REPUBLICAN, WEDNESDAY, JULY 10, 1912, p.1, c.7 EDGAR A. LETTS, 12 Feb 1846 - 05 Jul 1912 EDGAR A. LETTS Son of Edward and Cornelia Letts, was born in Huron county, Ohio, Feb 12, 1846, and died at his home near Fremont, Steuben county, Ind., July 5, 1912, aged 66 years, 4 months and 23 days. With his parents he came to Steuben county in the year 1855, where he resided until his death. He was married in September, 1874, to Miss Marion Baker, and to the union were born eight children, three girls and five boys, James, who resided with his father; Charles and Emily of this county; William, Harry and Jennie, of Branch county, Michigan; Pearl, of Youngstown, Ohio, and Fred, of Bozeman, Montana. The deceased was a plain, honest hardworking man, never disappointing those who trusted him. His hands did their full share in giving to the present generation the broad cleared fields which we now enjoy. A man with his work done died in the field at work. What better eulogy could be given. Besides his eight children he leaves two brothers, Nelson J. Letts, Sr., and Millard Letts, and many other relatives and friends to mourn their loss. He will be missed in the neighborhood, as he was always ready to help in any work and we may well look upon his life and say, "Well done, rest is now yours."
