MRS IRENE LINENDOLL fromSteuben Republican, April 14, 1926, pg 10, col 3 MRS. IRENE LINENDOLL Irene Scripture, daughter of Neal and Delilah Scripture, was born January 9, 1896, near Orland, Steuben county, Ind. She was united in marriage to Bliss E. Stayner, February 11, 1919. To this union one child was born, Bliss Jr., March 11, 1920. The father departed this life November 17, 1923. She was united in marriage with Floyd Linendoll, November 25, 1924. She passed away at her home in Orland, April 2, 1926, at the age of 30 years, 2 months and 23 days, after a short illness. She was a patient suffered, always having a smile and a kind word for every one. She leaves a grief-stricken husband, a loving mother, grandmother, one brother, Kern Scripture; and a large number of aunts and uncles and cousins and a host of friends. She was a loving wife, mother, and daughter, a kind friend and neighbor, and will be sadly missed in the home and community in which she lived. The funeral was held at the Orland M. E. Church, Monday, April 5, 1926, at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. R. A. Fenstermacher, the pastor, and interment made in the Jackson Prairie cemetery. A precious one from us has gone, a voice we loved is stilled. A voice is vacant in our home which never can be filled; God in His wisdom has recalled the boon His love has given, And though the body slumbers here, the soul is safe in heaven. ADDITIONAL NOTES: First husband, Bliss Eugene Stayner, was born 21 Oct 1895. He was the son of James Oliver and Nellie (Davis) Stayner. Son, Bliss Eugene Stayner Jr. who was born 11 Mar 1920, was killed in a motorcycle accident on 09 Jul 1941. They are also buried at Jackson Prairie Cemetery, Orland, Steuben County, Indiana.
