Daniel Lutts Steuben Republican 22 Mar 1862, P.2 clm 2 Mr. Daniel Lutts of this county, returned on Thursday evening from Kentucky with the body of his son, Daniel, who had died on the 10th inst., at Lebanon Kentucky, of typhoid pneumonia. He was a private in the 64th Ohio Regiment. His remains were borne to their last resting place yesterday. Another life has been offered up on the alter of Liberty. Another young man who left us but a few short weeks ago in the full enjoyment of health, has passed away, not by the bullets of the enemy, but by disease, yet his death was a honorable, as though he had died at the cannons mouth. He periled his life in defense of his country, and lost it. His parents and friends have the sympathy of the entire community, in this, their hour of bereavement. Submitted By: Jean Ann Childers
