Sara J. Mabie Obituary

Sara J. Mabie was born October 22, 1833, in Montgomery County, Ohio, and departed this life January 19, 1928, at the home of her daughter Mrs. George Mallory, at the age of 94 years, 2 months, 27 days.  She was united in marriage to Robert Mabie, December 25, 1852.  To this union were born 10 children, 3 dying in infancy and Cora at the age of 23 years.  She leaves to
mourn her departure, 3 sons, 3 daughters.  Clara DeGaugh of Hamilton; George of Flint; Alonzo of Flint; Elmira Sommerlott of Angola; Nellie Mabie of Coldwater, Michigan; Zetta Mallory of Elkhart, Ind. and 17 grand children, 46 great grand children, and 6 great great grand children.

After the death of her husband for a number of years she made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Clara DeGaugh.  Since the death of her husband, she had made her home with her son, Alonzo.

A friend always in time of need, and generous to a fault, everyone who knew her learned to love her.

Call not back the dear departed
Anchored safe where storms are o'er
On the border land we left her
Soon to meet and part no more
When we leave this world changes
When we leave this world of care
We shall find our missing loved ones
In our Father's mansion fair.
