Mrs. J.F. Maddox Dies in Angola
Deep sympathy was expressed on every hand when it became known that
Mrs. Elizabeth Maddox had passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs.
D. W. Gleason, in Angola. A resident here for many years, she was
well known and universally loved and respected. For many years her
physical infirmities caused great suffering and death was a welcome release
from pain.
Funeral services were held in the Fremont M.E. Church Monday afternoon,
after a short service at the home of her brother Charles Chapin.
Rev. L.G. Jacobs of Angola, preached the funeral sermon and burial was
in the Fremont Cemetery beside her husband, who died sixteen years ago.
