MILLIKAN, 03 Jan 1898 - 25 Jun 1987 Russell D. Millikan, 89, Angola, died Thursday in Meadowhaven Nursing Home, Butler. He was born in New Castle to Clint and Lottie McClean Millikan. Surviving are his wife, Blanche Nicholson Millikan, Meadowhaven Nursing Home; one granddaughter, Karen Sollars, Lafayette, three great-grandchildren and two great-great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Jyle Millikan, in 1981. Mr. Millikan, a self-employed contractor, was a member of the Angola Church of Christ, the Angola Masonic Lodge 236 for 50 years, Scottish Rite, Valley of Fort Wayne and the Angola Chapter 78 Order of the Eastern Star. Services were held Monday at Weicht Funeral Home, Angola, with the Rev. J. Glenn Radcliffe officiating. Burial was in Circle Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Steuben County Cancer Society or Shriner Crippled Children's Hospital. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Russell D. Millikan, 03 Jan 1898 - 25 Jun 1987, married Blanche N. (Nicholson) Millikan, 15 May 1898 - Jul 1987. They are buried at Circle Hill Cemetery, Angola, Steuben County, Indiana. Son - Jyle Millikan, 26 Nov 1919 - May 1981. Daughter - Audree Seibel Lewis has a handwritten note in the Cemetery Book that she wanted to insert information on Jyle and Allene under Millikan. I found Jyle in the Social Security Death Index but nothing for Allene Millikan.
