BENJAMIN J. MOODY, 10 Feb 1834 - 09 May 1914

   Benjamin J. Moody, son of Robert and Elizabeth Moody, the youngest of a 
family of five children, was born in Columbiana county, Ohio, Feb.10, 
1834, and departed this life May 9, 1914, aged 80 years, 2 months and 27 
days.  His early life was spent in his boyhood home.  When a young man, he 
moved to York township, Steuben county, Indiana, and shortly afterward was 
married to Lydia M. Welch, Oct. 7, 1860.  To this union were born five 
children, the eldest dying in infancy, the fourth child, Frankie, dying 
when he was about four years old.  The remaining children are James A., of 
York township; Linnie McCrory and Blanche Coleman, both of Angola.
   He united with the Christian church of Angola, under the preaching of 
Victor W. Dorris.  He enjoyed church fellowship for a time.  For the last 
six years he has been in failing health, and during a greater part of this 
time has been confined to the house.  The severing of earthly ties is 
always painful.  So this one will be greatly missed in the home, where he 
was a kind husband and father.  He leaves to mourn his departure, his 
wife, one son, two daughters, four grandchildren, an aged sister, Mrs. 
Lucretia Lahuray, and other relatives and friends.
   Funeral services were held at the Fairview church on Tuesday afternoon, 
May 12th, Elder C. C. Griggs, minister, officiating.  Interment at Circle 
Hill.

1930, daughter of Bela and Martha M. (Nash) Welch.  Benjamin and Lydia are 
buried at Circle Hill Cemetery, Angola, Steuben County, Indiana.  Martha 
Welch is buried at Old Angola Cemetery, Angola, Steuben County, Indiana.

1862 - 1928. 
   James Alfonse Moody, 12 Nov 1867 - 06 Jan 1937, married Alice V. 
(Sowle) Moody, 09 Jul 1869 - 15 Dec 1966 (over 97 years of age).  
   Frankie Moody, 16 Oct 1870 - 24 Mar 1875.
   Blanche J. (Moody) Coleman, 1876 - 10 Jan 1947, married Albert M. 
Coleman, 16 Jul 1868 - 04 Oct 1952.
All the children and their spouses are buried at Circle Hill Cemetery.
