STEUBEN REPUBLICAN, Wednesday, August 3, 1898, pg. 5, col. 5 HENRY MORROW (His picture was above the printed obituary) The subject of the above sketch was born in Silgo, Ireland, Aug. 15, 1818 and died July 29, 1898, aged 70 years, 11 months and 5 days. He came to America in 1832. At an early age he was baptized and confirmed in the Episcopal church, always believing in that faith until his death. In the year 1845 he was married to Harriet Tolles, at Hammondsport, N. Y., and to the union were born four children, Elizabeth, wife of John Richardson; Lucy, wife of Joseph Bell; Hattie, wife of Charles E. Wells and Frances who died in infancy. The widow and three daughters remain to mourn his death. Uncle Henry came to Steuben county, settling at Orland in 1856, and in 1881 he removed to Angola where he resided until his death. He was an honest man and quietly performed the duties of life as best he could. He was a private in Co. D, 142nd Ind. Vol., and his funeral was held under the auspices of the G.A.R., the sermon being preached by Rev. F. M. Kemper. The family express gratitude to the friends who favored them in the time of need.
