JOHN H. MORSE, 22 Jun 1813 - 31 Oct 1889

   DIED at his home near Lake Gage, Ind., Oct. 31st, 1889, John H. Morse, 
aged 76 years, 4 months and 9 days.
   Deceased was born in Connecticut in 1813, and in 1834, married Susan 
Haynes, of Seneca county, New York.  Eleven children were born to them, 
eight of whom with the aged mother are left to mourn their loss.  Funeral 
services were held at the Prairie school house, conducted by Rev. Powell 
of the Orland M. E. church.

on John and Susan's lot at Jackson Prairie Cemetery.
   Frances C. (Morse) Davis, 12 Apr 1841 - 28 Aug 1912, on 25 Dec 1866, 
married David G. Davis, 07 Jan 1830 - 21 Mar 1896, son of Abner and Polly 
(Beardsley/Bardsley) Davis.  They are all buried at Jackson Prairie 
Cemetery.
   Sanford Morse, 20 Apr 1842 - 06 Feb 1911, married Alice (Randall) 
Morse, 30 Jun 18858 - 19 Feb 1899.  They are buried at Jackson Prairie 
Cemetery.
   Hortense (Morse) Squires/Squiers, 01 Apr 18434 - 10 May 1898, married 
Charles Squires/Squiers, 11 Oct 1843 - 18 Sep 1905, son of Charles P. and 
Irene (Sanders) Squires/Squiers.  They are buried at Jackson Prairie 
Cemetery.
   Orrin C. Morse, 06 Jun 1848 (05 Jun 1847 in 1920 History) - 18 Apr 
1928, married Alice (Corbett) Morse, 25 Jun 1848 (1847 in 1920 History) - 
27 (03 in 1920 History) May 1907.  They are buried at Lake Gage Cemetery, 
Steuben County, Indiana. 
   Johny Morse, small stone, no dates or age, buried on John and Susan's 
lot at Jackson Prairie Cemetery.

"John H. Morse, born in Connecticut in 1813, came to this county in 1856 
and died near Lake Gage, Oct. 31, 1889.
