STEUBEN REPUBLICAN, WEDNESDAY, JULY 18, 1900, page 5, column 5 CORDELIA C. (MALLORY) NOBLE, 08 Sep 1811 - 14 Jul 1900 Cordelia C. Mallory was born in Ira, Vermont, Sept. 8, 1811, and was married to Rollin Nobles in 1830. To the union were born two children who with the father preceded her to the better world. She came with her family to Steuben county in 1849, twelve years after her parents settled here. After the death of her daughter, twelve years ago, she came to Angola and has since made her home with her niece, Mrs. Ellen Patterson. She was quiet and unassuming in life and died, July 14, 1900, with faith in Christ and hope of a resurrection. Short funeral services were held at the home, conducted by Elder Medbury, after which the remains were taken to Jamestown for burial and where a funeral sermon was preached by Rev. Frost. (Mallory) Noble, 08 Sep 1811 - 14 Jul 1900, was the daughter of David Mallory who died 14 Oct 1864 at the age of 70 years and 8 months, and Cynthia (Collins) Mallory who died 20 Oct 1868 at the age of 77 years, __ months and 26 days. Cynthia Mallory was the daughter of Nathan Collins, 24 Sep 1763 - 12 Jun 1847, and Kesiah (Carpenter) Collins, 22 Apr 1767 - 18 Dec 1845. On 26 Sep 1829, Cordelia married Rollin Noble, 1806 - 24 Jan 1872. Dgtr: Emeline Noble, 1840 - 1890. Son: William L. Noble, born about 21 Jul 1843 and died 21 Dec 1853, aged 10 years and 5 months. Cordelia, Rollin and children are buried at Jamestown Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana. The niece with whom Cordelia made her home was Ellem M. (Stocker) Patterson, 13 Nov 1818 - 24 Feb 1905, buried at Old Angola Cemetery, Angola, Steuben County, Indiana. Barton Collins was an uncle of Cordelia's. Barton, 22 Feb 1794 - 18 Jan 1849, married Annahritte (Chaffee) Collins, 02 Jan 1797 - 16 Jul 1882. They were early pioneer settlers, entering land in Jamestown Township on 03 Jul 1835. They are buried at Jamestown Cemetery. Cordelia's siblings: Minerva (Mallory) Tilottson, 11 Feb 1814 - 15 Dec 1863, married Mr. Tilottsin. Not listed in the cemetery books. Clayton Mallory, 28 Jul 1816 - 05 May 1903, married two sisters, his cousins. 1st, he married Thirza (Collins) Mallory, 23 Apr 1824 - 28 Nov 1856. 2nd, he married Jane (Collins) Mallory, 23 Jun 1827 - 30 Aug 1883. They are buried at Jamestown Cemetery. They were daughters of Barton and Annahritte (Chaffee) Collins. Lucy (Mallory) Stocker, 13 Nov 1818 - 24 Feb 1905, married Leland Stocker, 21 May 1817 - 27 Oct 1894, buried at Old Angola Cemetery. Elias Mallory, 30 Jan 1822 - 12 Jan 1903, married Rosilla Amorette (Havens) Mallory, 06 Aug 1815 - 29 Aug 1890, daughter of George and Huldah H. Havens. Buried at Jamestown Cemetery. They came to Steuben County in 1836 per 27th Annual Reunion of Pioneers, 16 Aug 1900, published 22 Aug 1900. Asa Mallory, 17 Oct 1824 - 19 Oct 1903, married Sytheria/Cytheria (Wright) Mallory, 12 Jun 1841 - 12 Sep 1929. Buried at Jamestown Cemetery. Amanda (Mallory) Patterson Leas, 13 Mar 1828 - 01 Jun 1926, married 1st, Robert Patterson who died 30 Apr 1872, aged 52 years, 2 months and 5 days. Her 2nd husband was Augustus John Leas who is not listed in the cemetery books. Amanda is buried at Circle Hill Cemetery, Angola, Steuben County, Indiana. Robert is buried at Old Angola Cemetery, Angola, Steuben County, Indiana. Emiline (Mallory) Harding, 12 Jul 1833 - 13 Jan 1915, who was the 3rd wife of George Harding, 15 Jul 1812 - 06 Nov 1894. Buried at Jamestown Cemetery. Underneath Emiline's inscription on the large monument is this information, "This cemetery (Jamestown) was purchased and platted by George Harding and E.
