NOYES, 29 Feb 1856 - 05 Feb 1899 At his home in Fremont, Steuben county, Indiana, February 5th, 1899, Frank Noyes, aged 42 years, 11 months and 7 days. Mr. Noyes was born in Fremont, February 29, 1856. He was married to Sarah Snyder, May 25, 1881. They lived together only eight months, when she was taken from him by death. He was married to Cora Stevenson, September 21, 1887. To this union was born two children, Flossie and Nellie. Flossie preceded him to the better world Sept. 19, 1891. He leaves to mourn their loss, a wife, one child, three brothers and three sisters and other relatives and a host of friends and neighbors. This family was a happy one. The best of harmony prevailed. Their lives were given for each other's happiness. He remained in his childhood's home until past thirty years of age, and was a great comfort to his parents in their declining years. For a number of years he was a successful teacher in the schools of Southern Michigan, and also taught a year in the high school of Fremont. He held the office of county surveyor four years, from 1891 to 1894. Mr. Noyes was a noble husband, a loving father, a kind neighbor and a respected citizen, and will be missed by all who knew him. The funeral services were conducted at the home by Rev. Ostroth, assisted by Rev. Cone. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Frank F. Noyes, 29 Feb 1856 - 05 Feb 1899, married 1st, Sarah [Sate] (Snider/Snyder) Noyes, died 22 Jan 1882, aged 23 years, 6 months and 7 days. Sarah is buried at Pleasant Lake cemetery.
