IDA L. (JOHNSON) ORTON, 05 Aug 1859 - 29 Oct 1888

   Died, October 29, 1888, at her home in Fairmont, Nebraska, 
Ida L. Orton, aged 29 years, 2 months and 24 days.
   Ida L. Johnson was born near Lake Gage, Steuben county, 
Indiana, August 5, 1859, and April 24, 1878, was married to 
Charles L. Orton.  She is the mother of three children, two 
girls and one boy.  The boy died a few years ago.  The 
husband and two girls, aged six and eight years, are left to 
mourn the loss of a loved wife and mother.  Mrs. Orton was 
patient in her long-suffering with consumption and died in 
peace.  The remains were brought to Angola for burial.  Her 
many friends in Fairmont and in Steuben county will long 
remember her good life and join in extending heartfelt 
sympathy to Mr. Orton and his children.

   Ida L. (Johnson) Orton, 05 Aug 1859 - 29 Oct 1888, married
Dharles Lee Orton, 17 Jul 1855 - 18 Sep 1928.  Their infant 
son died 15 Nov 1879 at the age of 15 weeks.  They are all 
buried at Circle Hill Cemetery, Angola, Steuben County, IN.  
   On 27 Sep 1891, Charles married his 2nd wife, Cora B. 
(Williamson) Orton, 08 Nov 1863 - 25 Aug 1925.  She is buried 
in Cbarles' family plot.  She was the daughter of Cornelios 
Williamson, Oct 1835 - 06 Apr 1917, and Barbara (Ritter) 
Williamson, 01 Apr 1837 - 14 Nov 1900 who are buried at Flint 
Cemetery, Steuben County, IN.  Charles and Cora had a 
daughter, Lela May Orton, 14 Aug 1901 - 09 Feb 1903 who is 
buried with the others in the family plot.
