STEUBEN REPUBLICAN, WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 30, 1901, page 1, column 8 LAURA ANNA (MORSE) OSBORN, 04 Jul 1835 - 29 Jan 1901 Laura Anna Morse, eldest child of Orin Bradley and Matilda Morse, was born in Cheshire, Ontario county, New York, July 4, 1835; died in Angola, Indiana, January 29, 1901, aged 65 years, 6 months and 24 days. When 19 years of age she moved with her parents to Walworth, New York, and lived there until united in marriage with Alfred F. Osborn, November 28, 1862. She then came to Angola where she resided until her death. Mr. and Mrs. Osborn were the parents of two children, Ivan and Leah, who died in infancy. Deceased had been in poor health for several years. Tuesday, Jan. 22, she was stricken with paralysis, a disease that results fatally quite as often as otherwise. For some days she suffered greatly and then passed into a state of unconsciousness from which she never rallied. All that medical skill and kind friends could do was done, but all in vain. She was a member of the M. E. church, and after spending many years pleasantly in the service of Christ here, she has been taken to her reward, and in her heavenly home with loved ones, she will have the privilege of spending eternity in His service. Christ said to her, "Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many; enter thou into joy of thy Lord."
