POWERS-At the residence of her mother, Metz, Steuben county, Ind., 
Tuesday, Feb. `8, 1879, Miss Hannah M. Powers, after a lingering 
illness, aged 36 years, 10 months and 14 days.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

   Hannah Maria Powers, 04 Apr 1842 - 18 Feb 1879, was the daughter 
of Clark Powers, 12 Dec 1803 - 25 May 1859, and Hannah (Ketchum) 
Powers, 19 Aug 1813 - 09 Mar 1885.  Her parents were part of the 
Powers caravan, the 1st white settlers in York Township, Steuben 
County, Indiana.  They are all buried at Powers Cemetery, Steuben 
County, Indiana.

SIBLINGS:

   Joanna (Powers) Wood, 07 Nov 1844 - 16 Jul 1917, who on 03 Dec 
1861, married Hugh Dudgeon Wood, M.D., 28 Jun 1834 - 17 Dec 1918, 
son of Joseph Wheeler Wood and Sarah (Freeman) Wood.  Joanna and 
Hugh are buried at Powers Cemetery.
   William Edwin Powers, 29 Dec 1845 - 07 Oct 1846, buried at 
Powers Cemetery.  
   Josiah Harper Powers, 18 Sep 1847 - 05 Aug 1864, killed during 
the Civil War at Chattanooga, Tenn., buried at Powers Cemetery.
   Stephen Arad Powers, 28 Dec 1851 - 01 Aug 1913, on 09 Oct 1876, 
married Isadora "Dora" (Ferrier) Powers, 02 Apr 1857 - 05 Aug 1938.  
They are buried at Circle Hill Cemetery, Angola, Steuben County, 
Indiana.
   Elnora (Powers) Cameron, 07 Mar 1854 - 30 Jul 1866, on 12 Dec 
1880, married John Frank Cameron, M.D., 08 May 1855 - 1944.  Elnora 
died a few days after childbirth.  Their son, John Clark Cameron, 
16 Jul 1886 - 21 Aug 1886 is buried with his parents at Powers 
Cemetery.  Dr. Cameron married 2nd,Mary Jane (Haughey) Powers, 1858 
- 12 Nov 1946, who is buried at Hamilton Cemetery, Steuben County, 
Indiana.
