ORVILLE CALVIN POWERS, 26 Oct 1891 - 28 Mar 1979

   Orville C. Powers, 87, of 433 South State Street, Kendallville,  
died at 4:05 p.m., Thursday, March 22, (1979), in McCray Memorial 
Hospital, Kendallville.
   Born in Steuben County, October 26, 1891, he was the son of  
Mora and Dora (Gibbeny) Powers.  He married Blanche Fireovid on  
April 14, 1916.  She survives.
   Powers was a retired farmer and Auburn Foundry worker.
   Survivors besides the wife are a daughter, Mrs. Marion (Imo-
gene) Hamman, Route 1, Kendallville; two sons, Ovid Powers , of
Fort Wayne, and Dean Powers, of Kendallville; two sisters, Mrs.
Marion Raymer and Miss Flossie Powers, both of Battle Creek,
Michigan; ten grandchilden; three step-grandchildren, eight
great-grandchildren; and four step great-grandchildren.
   Two children and two brothers have preceded him in death.
   Services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, March 25, at the 
Hite Funeral Home, Kendallville, with Reverend Mark Richardson 
officiating.
   Interment followed in Powers Cemetery, Steuben County.
   Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

   Orville Calvin Powers, 26 Oct 1891 - 28 Mar 1979, was the son  
of Mora A. Powers, 10 Aug 1864 - 1942, and Dora (Gibbeny) Powers,  
09 May 1868 - 09 May 1934.  He married Blanche (Fireovid) Powers,   
28 Jul 1898 - 12 Nov 1983.They are buried at Powers Cemetery.

Cemetery.

   Ora Winn Powers, 06 Oct 1889 - died before 1979, married 1st,  
Gertrude (Ferrier) Powers, daughter of Herbert and Omega (Zimmer- 
man) Ferrier.  He married 2nd, C. Mae (Nichols) Powers, born  
02 Aug 1897, daughter of George and Nancy Jane (Mote) Nichols.
   Flossie Jane Powers, 04 Jan 1893 - 05 May 1981, buried at  
Powers Cemetery.
   John Clyde Powers, 22 Jan 1900 - died before 1979.  Married  
1st, Anna Lucille (Cobb) Powers, divorced in 1926.  Married 2nd, 
Jessie Marie (Reese) Powers, born 08 Feb 1905, daughter of Glenn
A. and Beulah V. (Kint) Reese. 
   Marian Luceil (Powers) Raymer, born 07 Apr 1903, married Morris 
M. Raymer, born 28 Jul 1894, son of Francis and Rose May Raymer.
