Portola services held
for Lavornia (Gregg) Redka, 79.

    Lavornia Redka, a 12-year Portola resident, died Feb. 13 at the Quincy
Convalescent Home after a lengthy illness.  Mrs. Redka was born May 12, 1901
in Indiana.
    Services were held at Mrs. Redka's member church, St. Luke's Lutheran
Church in Portola, last Saturday, with burial following at the Shady Grove
Cemetery, Portola.
    Mrs. Redka is survived by daughters Jane McCormick of Portola and
Maryelyn Taylor of San Bruno, California;  (half)brother Raymond Gregg of
Indiana;  half-brother Harold Edgington of Watsonville, California; and two
grandchildren.
