ADALINE MELISSA WEBBER REED, 08 Jun 1826 - 19 JAN 1901

   Adaline M. Webber was born in Richland county, Ohio, June 8, 
1826, and died at her home in Scott township, Jan. 19, 1901, aged 74 
years, 7 months and 11 days.
   She was united in marriage October 6, 1842, to James Reed, who 
died July 11, 1879, and to this union were born nine children, seven 
of whom survive her--Mrs. O. J. Free, of Shenandoah, Iowa, Mrs. 
Belle R. VanAuken, of Valley City, North Dakota, Mrs. Lucy D. 
Sheets, Earl and Mack Reed, Mrs. Kate Gunn and Mrs. Alma Wolf, of 
Fremont.  Their daughter Alice died when a girl of twelve years and 
their son John died Jan. 11, 1900.  She leaves twelve grandchildren 
and nine great grandchildren.  Mr. and Mrs. Reed came to Indiana 
fifty-eight years ago and endured all the hardships of pioneer life.  
Two years after her husband's death she removed to Scott township 
where she has resided ever since.  She united with the Christian 
church at North Scott eighteen years ago, and since then has lived a 
faithful, consistent christian life.

   Adalina (Adelina) Melissa (Webber) Reed, 08 Jun 1826 - 19 Jan 
1901, married James Reed, 09 Mar 1820 - 11 Jul 1879.  They are 
buried at Lakeside Cemetery, Steuben county, Indiana.

Children:

   Belle R. (Reed) VanAuken, 1845 - 1927, married James VanAuken.  
She is buried at Circle Hill Cemetery, Angola, Steuben County, 
Indiana.  No information on husband's burial place.
   Lucy D. (Reed) Sheets, 17 Sep 1846 - 25 May 1922, married George 
W. Sheets, 1840 - 1902.  They are buried at Fremont Cemetery, 
Steuben County, Indiana.
   John M. Reed, 02 Aug 1848 - 11 Jan 1900, married Mary Sailor.  He 
is buried at Lakeside Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana.  No 
information on Mary.
   Alice L. Reed, 21 Jan 1850 - 26 Aug 1862, aged 12 years, 7 months 
and 5 days.  Buried at Lakeside Cemetery. 
   Earl "Err" Reed, 11 Nov 1852 - 06 May 1925, married 1st, Alta 
(Mabrey) Reed, no other information.  Married 2nd Rachel (Hodges) 
Reed, 1855 - 1933.  Earl and Rachel are buried at Powers Cemetery, 
Steuben County, Indiana.
   Kate (Reed) Gunn, 1859 - 1947, married Charles Gunn, 1852 - 1929.  
They are buried at Fremont Cemetery.
   Alma (Reed) Wolfe/Wolf, 1867 - 29 Jun 1941, married Dr. B. F. 
Wolfe/Wolf, 1866 - 1938.  They are buried at Lakeside Cemetery.
   Ophelia J. (Reed) Free married Joseph Free on 17 Sep 1871 in 
Steuben County, Indiana.
