MARY (FERRIER) REID, 25 Jun 1828 - 03 Apr 1913

   Daughter of David and Susan Ferrier, was born in Harrison 
county, Ohio, June 25, 1828, and died at Metz, Indiana, April 
3, 1913, aged 84 years, 9 months and 27 days.  In early life 
she with her parents moved to Williams county, and settled 
near Pilaski, where in 1849 she was married to Ross Reid.  To 
this union were born five children, three sons and two 
daughters.  Three of these have preceded her.  She and her 
husband moved into Northwest township, where for many years 
she made her home.  When the storm of the rebellion swept 
over the land, the husband bore the arms of his country and 
the wife was left to care for the family, which she did with 
a heart that was noble and true.  In 1864 she suffered the 
loss of her husband, and for 49 years she has lived a life 
mingled with joy and sorrow.  She was converted to Christ 
about thirty years ago and has done what she could for His 
cause.
   Funeral services were held at Mt. Pleasant church, Rev. S. 
L. Cunningham officiating, and the body laid to rest in the 
cemetery near by.

1849 in Williams County, Ohio, married Ross Reid, 1829 - 
1864.  They are buried at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Steuben 
County, Indiana.  Mary was the daughter of David Ferrier, 
1796 to 1800 - 27 Jun 1854, and Susanna (Hendricks) Ferrier, 
09 Jun 1802 - 23 Apr 1882.  David's burial place unknown.  
Susanna is buried at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.  Ross was the son 
of Thomas Reid, born 1803 in Williams County, Ohio, and 
Matilda (Dawson) Reid, born 1807 in Williams County, Ohio.

CHILDREN OF THE MARRIAGE ALL BORN AT METZ, SUMMIT COUNTY, 
OHIO:
   Sarah Reid, 1851 - 1875, buried at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
   John Reid, 1853 - 1924, married Sarah (_____) Reid, 1851 - 
1875.  Possible 2nd wife, Adda Reid, 1861 - 1903, is buried 
in the same plot with them at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Row 19, 
Stone 6.
   David A. Reid, 1855 - 1924, on 12 Dec 1886, married Ella 
(Waller) Reid, 1865 - 1939.  They are buried at Mt. Pleasant 
Cemetery.
   Rinaldo Reid, 13 Nov 1857 - 06 Mar 1934, on 27 Dec 1899 in 
San Francisco, California, married Alma Stedman Hamilton, 
1882 - Aug 1904.  They are buried at Oakland, Alameda County, 
California.
   Adaline Reid, 1860 - 1867, burial place unknown.

SIBLINGS OF MARY (FERRIER) REID:
   William F. Ferrier, 24 May 1823 - 28 Nov 1907, married 
Olive Maria (Thompson) Ferrier, 20 Mar 1831 - 1910.  They are 
buried at Circle Hill Cemetery, Angola, Steuben County, 
Indiana.  She was the daughter of Robert and Miriam Thompson.
   George Ferrier, 04 June 1825 - 22 Feb 1864, born and died 
in Ohio.    
   John Ferrier, 05 Aug 1830 - 31 May 1908, married Mary 
(Richardson) Ferrier, 11 Feb 1839 - no date of death.  They 
are buried at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.  Andrew's wife, Harriet, 
is her sister.  
   Andrew Ferrier, born in 1833 in Fostoria, Seneca County, 
Ohio, and died in 1910 in Hudson, Indiana, married Harriet 
(Richaradson) Ferrier, 1836 - 1922.  They are buried at O-Hud 
Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana.
   David Ferrier, born 27 Dec 1836 in Sandusky, Ohio, died 13 
Jan 1916 in LaBetts, Kansas.  On 02 Oct 1856 in Angola, 
Steuben County, Indiana, married Amanda Melvina (Ward) 
Ferrier.  
   Jacob Ferrier, 1842 - 1889, born and died in Ohio.
   Martha Ferrier, born 1846 in Ohio.
