STEUBEN REPUBLICAN, WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 25, 1903, page 1, column 6 LYDIA M. (CARPENTER) RICKERD, 1826 - 20 Nov 1903 Lydia M. Rickerd was born in Leroy, Jefferson county, New York, in 1826, and died at the home of her son, Orrin, in Otsego, Nov. 20, 1903, aged 77 years. At the age of 11 years, she came with her parents to Indiana, most of her life being spent in Steuben county. In early womanhood, she gave her heart to her Savior and for nearly 40 years was a faithful member of the Christian church. Nov. 22, 1853, she was joined in marriage with Henry B. Rickerd. To this union were born three children, two of them with her husband having preceded her to the other shore. Funeral was held at the home of her son, Sunday, Nov. 22, the 50th anniversary of her wedding. Text, Revelation 14th chapter and 18th verse, chosen by her about six years ago. She leaves one son, brothers and sisters and many friends to mourn. Funeral was conducted by Rev. W. H. Keyes. Interment in Pleasant Lake cemetery. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Lydia M. They are buried at Pleasant Lake Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana. Son, Orrin Rickerd (marriage license issued in name of Orin J. Rickard), on 28 Nov 1894 in Indiana, married Maggie E.
