Herald-Republican, Wednesday, November 18, 1998, page 4A Burdett Ralph Ridenour (July 23. 1928-Nov. 15, 1998) Scott Township resident Burdett Ralph Ridenour, 70, died Sunday at this home. He was born July 23, 1928, on the family farm near Angola, to Rueben and Ester (Brown) Ridenour. Mr. Ridenour completed two years of college courses at Purdue University. He was a farmer. He was a life member of North Scott Church, a founding member of Pokagon Pitchpipers Barbershop Singers and was also involved in Lake James Christian Assembly. He is survived by his wife, Lois; a son, Michael of Quincy, Mich.; two stepdaughters, Sheila Petry and Terry Presley, both of Angola; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. His was preceded in death by his first wife, Ilene in 1993 and a daughter, Dawn Smith in 1983. Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, with the Rev. James Holbert officiating. Graveside services will follow at the Lakeside Cemetery, Fremont. Memorials are to the North Scott Church or Cameron Hospice.
