LAVINA (SPRAGUE) ROBINSON, 1826 - 08 May 1881

   Died in Orland May 8, 1881, after an illness of 16 years 
duration, Mrs. Lavina Robinson, aged 55 years.  Funeral 
services were held at the Methodist church Monday afternoon.

   NOTE:  LOVINA is the spelling of her name in the cemetery 
book and www.familysearch.org. 
   Lavina/Lovina (Sprague) Robinson, 1826 - 07 May 1881, in 
1842, married Albert B. Robinson, 10 Dec 1818 - 20 Nov 1891. 
Lovina is buried at Memorial Grove Cemetery, Steuben County, 
Indiana.  Albert's 2nd wife was Margret (Sowles) Robinson, 12 
Dec 1844 - 16 Jan 1889.  Albert died near Tusla, Oklahoma, 
but is buried with his 2nd wife at Lake Gage Cemetery.  
Armida, born 20 Feb 1864, daughter of Margret Robinson, is 
buried near her.
   1880 United States Census, Orland, Steuben County, 
Indiana, Family History Library Film #1254312, NA Film Number 
T9-0312, page #261B, lists Lovina B. Robinson, no marital 
status, as head of household with daughter Hattie C., age 19, 
and a servant as members of the household.

CHILDREN OF LOVINA AND ALBERT B. ROBINSON:

   Chauncey Clark Robinson, born 28 Dec 1842, died in 1918 in 
Kansas.  On 20 Sep 1866, married Adelaide (Carver) Robinson.
   Hannah S. Robinson, 30 Nov 1844 - 1865.
   Fowler Elias Robinson, 07 Apr 1847 - 29 Jul 1848.  Buried 
at "Tombstone Corner," the little tombstone is on the berm on 
the north side of the northeast corner of the intersection of 
800 W. and 350N in Steuben County, Indiana.  The Robinson 
family once owned land on three corners of this intersection. 
   Hattie Celenda (Robinson) Purdy, 25 Mar 1861 - died after 
1922 at the State Hospital, Logansport, Cass County, Indiana.  
She married Wilton Ernest Purdy, 04 Nov 1859 - 07 Feb 1944, 
son of Robert Nelson Purdy, 01 Jan 1824 - 12 Aug 1906, and 
his 1st wife, Eliza S. (VanBenschoten) Purdy, 1830 - 1867.  
They are all buried at Greenlawn Cemetery, Orland, Steuben 
County, Indiana. 
   Harry/Albert Fremont Robinson, 06 Jan 1864 - 1944.  On 
page 278, Vol. II, "Northeast Indiana History," in the 
personal history of Wilton Purdy, Harry is referred to as 
Albert Fremont Robinson.  For personal reasons he changed his 
first name from Albert to Harry but he was best known as 
"Mont" Robinson.  He apparently married Libbie (Merry) on 05 
Apr 1884 Robinson.  There is the abbreviation (div) in the 
marriage date in www.familysearch.org.   He married Alta 
(Everhart) Robinson on 24 Jun 1890.  Harry is buried at 
Memorial Grove Cemetery.
   Frank Lee Robinson, 12 Dec 1859 - 02 Feb 1860, no other 
information.
