STEUBEN REPUBLICAN, WEDNESDAY, MAY 8, 1901, page 4, column 2 ALMIRA (ROCKWELL) ROWLEY, 28 Sep 1828 - 05 May 1901 Mrs. Almira Rowley died at her home at Lake Gage Sunday afternoon, May 5th, 1901, of grip and pneumonia, aged 78 years. Mrs. Rowley spent the winter in Orland and had only been back to her home about two weeks, before her death. Funeral from the Congregational church at Lake Gage, Tuesday morning, at 10 o'clock, Rev. Bonney, of Bronson, officiating. Burial in Lake Gage cemetery beside her husband, who died only a few years ago. Mrs. Rowley was a devoted wife and mother, a true friend and a woman who never lost interest in any thing which pertained to public good. One daughter, Mrs. Cora Mashon, two sons, Charles and George Rowley, of her immediate family remain this side the mystic river. (Hastings) Rowley, 24 Nov 1851 - 1928, daughter of John and Lydia (Sherwood) Hastings. All are buried at Lake Gage Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana.
