Gail L. Shoup

Gail L. Shoup, 70, a former resident of Angola, died Saturday afternoon in a hospital in Santa Barbara, California.
A graduate of Angola High School, Shoup was born in July, 1900.
Survivors include his wife, Marguerite; a son, Dr. Gail L. Shoup, Jr., of Long Beach, California; two daughters, Dr. June Hummel, Santa Barbara, and Mrs. Diane Tolsma, Long Beach; his mother, Mrs. Toretta E. Shoup, Battle Creek, Michigan; five brothers, Roy, Cleo, Kenneth, and Estle, all of Angola, and Raymond, of Coldwater, Michigan; three sisters, Mrs. Gladys Wathen, of Orland, Miss Hazel Shoup, a missionary in West Africa, and Mrs. Wauneta Aldrich, Battle Creek, Michigan; four grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
Funeral Services were conducted at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday) at the Welch-Ryce Funeral Home in Santa Barbara.
Mr. an Mrs Roy Shoup and Kenneth Shoup left Monday morning to attend the funeral services.
