Raymond C. Shoup

Raymond C. Shoup 81, of Coldwater, Mich., died Thursday at Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility, Coldwater.
He was born Nov. 19, 1917, in Steuben County, John and Toretta (Heiserman) Shoup.
Mr. Shoup went to work at an early age after the death of his father, helping support his family by delivering newspapers. He also worked several years as deliveryman for Anderson Dairy in Coldwater. He worked for the Coldwater State Home, retiring in 1981. He enjoyed hunting and watching baseball.
Surviving are his wife, Edwina, whom he married Dec. 20, 1969, in Coldwater.
Also surviving are a son, Raymond of Elkhart; a daughter, Shelby Burk of Houston, Texas; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a brother, Estel Shoup of Angola; and two sisters, Hazel Shoup of Fort Wayne and Gladys Wathen of Angola.
Six brothers and a sister preceded him in death
Services will be held at 1 p. m. EDT Monday at Gillespie Funeral Home, Coldwater, Mich., with James Troust officiating. Burial will be in Flint Cemetery, Steuben County. Calling is from 5 to 8 p. m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials to the donor's choice are requested in lieu of flowers.
