RUSSELL LaVERN SHUTTS SR., 31 Dec 1915 - 17 Oct 1986

   Russell LaVern Shutts Sr., 70, Fremont, died at Lutheran 
Hospital on Friday.  He was born to Henry and Mabel Dull 
Shutts in Steuben County.
   Surviving are his wife, Mildred Shutts; two sons, Richard 
Shutts, Fremont, and Russell Shutts Jr., Lampasas, Texas; one 
daughter, Mrs. Frank (Mary Ann) Anspaugh, Fremont; 10 
grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two brothers, 
Clark Shutts, Bryan, Ohio, and Raymond Shutts, Columbia, 
Ohio.
   Services were held Monday at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, 
with the Rev. Ross Cook officiating.  Memorials may be made 
to the Steuben County Heart Fund.

married Mildred (Arnold) Shutts, 07 Apr 1920 - 19 Jan 2004.
Russell was the son of Henry Shutts, 25 Jan 1882 - Nov 1963, 
and Mabel (Dull) Shutts, 1894 - 1959.  They are buried at 
Fremont Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana.
   Mildred was the daughter of Paul Nicholas Arnold Sr., 31 
Jan 1896 - 18 Jul 1968, and Beulah (Robinson) Arnold, 07 Jan 
1891 - 17 Apr 1971.  They are buried at Flint Cemetery, 
Steuben County, Indiana.

BROTHERS:
   Clark Shutts, 22 Jul 1913 - 27 Dec 1988.
   Raymond Shutts, 11 Dec 1917 - 23 Aug 1993.
