JONAS SOMERLOTT, 22 Jun 1828 - 13 Dec 1891

   DIED-In Jackson township, December 13 1891, Jonas 
Somerlott, aged 63 years, 5 months and 21 days.
   Deceased was born in Starke county, Ohio, June 22, 1828, 
and lived there until he was about twenty-one, when he moved 
to Steuben county, Indiana.  He was married to Mattie 
Talbott, March 29, 1851.  To them were born four sons and one 
daughter.  His death is the first in the family and wife and 
children mourn for a kind husband and father.  Funeral 
services were held at the Flint Christian church conducted by 
W. W. Wyrick.

   Jonas Somerlott, 22 Jun 1828 - 13 Dec 1891, married 
Martha/Mattie (Talbott) Somerlott, 13 Jan 1832 - 14 Apr 1908.  
They are buried at Flint Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana, 
Sec. A, Lot 19.  

CHILDREN:
   John W. Somerlott, 21 Aug 1852 - 21 Apr 1916, married Eva 
(Pendell) Somerlott, no dates in cemetery book.  They are 
buried at Circle Hill Cemetery, Angola, Steuben County, 
Indiana.
   Jonas C/J Somerlott, 12 Mar 1861 - 11 Nov 1946, on 15 Jan 
1882, married Elmira (Mabie) Somerlott.  They are buried at 
Flint Cemeetery, Sec. A, Lot 19.  Elmira was the daughter of 
Robert S. Mabie, born 21 Jun 1827 in Starke County, Ohio, and 
died 01 Apr 1892 in Steuben County, Indiana.  On 25 Dec 1852, 
in Starke County,Ohio,  Robert married Sarah Jane (Odims) 
Mabie, 22 Oct 1833 - 19 Jan 1928.  They are buried at Flint 
Cemetery. 
   In the 1880 United States Census, Empire, Ellsworth 
County, Kansas, Family History Library Film #1254381, NA Film 
#T9-0381, page #472A, these people are listed with 
information which could support the fact that this is Jonas 
and his family:
   Jonas Somerlott, age 51, born in Ohio.
   Martha Somerlott, his wife, age 58, born in Ohio.
   Caleb Somerlott, his son, age 25, born in Indiana.
   Lafiette Somerlott, his son, age 23, born in Indiana.
   Jonas Sosmerlott, his son, age 19, born in Ohio.

   The Highland/Calvary Cemetery, Colville, Stevens County, 
Washington, lists Caleb T. Somerlott, born 1855 - died 1940 
s/w Mary, Lester and Morrow.

   Branch County, Michigan, Marriage Index, lists the 
marriage on 07 Nov 1880 of Caleb Somerlott to Mary Stayner.
