        GEORGE W. SPANGLE    At the home of Mr. and Mrs. Mont, Crandall, January
22, 1892, George W. Spangle, age 67 years 4 months and 20 days.
        Deceased was born in Ontario County, New York April 2, 1824.  He came to
Indiana forty-one years ago, remained some time and then spent some time in
the mining districts of California.  For the last 18 years, he has lived in
Angola and vicinity.  In his younger days he was a carpenter by trade, was
industrious and frugal and thereby accumulated quite a considerable amount
of property.  Two brothers and two half-sisters survive him to mourn their
loss.  Funeral services were held at the M.E. Church Sunday afternoon,
conducted by Rev. J.A. Beatty.
