Steuben-Republican  October or November 1895

        October 20, 1895, Harriet Bennett Spangle, aged 73 years, 10 
months and 8 days. Harriet Bennett was born in Seneca County, Ohio, 
January 12, 1822.  In 1841, she was married to Simon Spangle, and in 
1850 came to this county. Ten children blessed this union--four boys and 
six girls--four of whom survive her, Mrs. S.L. Crandall, Mrs. Chas. 
Jordan, E.B. and E.D. Spangle, and one sister, Mrs. Tiffany.  She died 
at her home October 20, 1895. Funeral services were held at the 
residence, two miles north of Angola, conducted by Rev. J.E. Ervin.
