Stayner, 91, Angola, died Tuesday morning, May 22, in Miller's Merry Manor, LaGrange. She was born in Jackson Township, Steuben county, on April 20, 1899, to Jay and Flora Sams Abbott. Mrs. Stayner was a homemaker and graduated from Flint High School. She attended Flint Methodist Church, was a charter member of Jackson Township Home Economics Club and a member of Orland American Legion Auxillary. Surviving are two sons, William of Bronson, Mich., and Wendell of Angola; two daughters, Mary Holland of Waldron, Mich., and Francis Stayner of Cleveland, Ohio; two sisters, Wava Holiday and Eva Benfer, both of Angola; 13 grandchildren, 32 great- grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren, and nine great- great-grandchildren. Her husband, William G., whom she married Sept. 2, 1919, died April 23, 1983. Funeral services are 1 p.m. Friday, May 25, at Weicht Funeral Home, Angola with Rev. J. Glenn Radcliffe officiating. Calling hours are 4 - 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Jackson Prairie Cemetery. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Audra L. (Abbott) Stayner, 20 Apr 1899 - 22 May 1990, married William G. Audra was the daughter of Jay Abbott, 30 May 1876 - 15 Nov 1962, and Flora M. (Sams) Abbott, 07 Jul 1877 - 10 Apr 1975. They are all buried at Jackson Prairie Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana. William G. Stayner died in Bronson, Michigan.
