STEUBEN REPUBLICAN, WEDNESDAY, APRIL 9, 1902, page 1, column 5 SUSAN (McENTAFFER) WEICHT DOLE ST.CLAIR, 01 Jun 1827 - 02 Apr 1902 Susan McEntaffer was born in Stark county, Ohio, June 1, 1827, and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Addie Parsell, in Jackson township, Steuben county, Indiana, April 2, 1902, aged 74 years, 10 months and one day. In 1837 she came with her parents, David and Elizabeth McEntaffer, to DeKalb county, Ind., where in 1846 she was joined in marriage with Dr. F. L. Weicht. To this union were born five children, two sons and three daughters, two daughters having preceded her to the better land. After their marriage they settled on a farm in Salem township. On Jan. 16, 1864, her husband died, and she remained a widow until Feb. 1, 1866, when she was married to Joel M. Dole. On March 9, 1878, she was again left a widow, and on Jun 29, 1890, she was married to John C. St.Clair, of Waterloo, where they lived four years, when they went to Auburn to live with his daughter, Mrs. H. P. Stroh, where Mr. St.Clair died March 9, 1898. She then came to live with her daughter Addie. In 1860 she united with the Presbyterian church and remained a faithful member until God called her home. A bight, cheerful mother has lain down her life work. Deceased leaves to mourn her death, two sons, Julius A. and Eugene F. Weicht, and one daughter, Addie M. Parsell, eight grandchildren, one sister and many other relatives and near friends. Funeral services were held at the home of her daughter Friday afternoon, April 4, Elder C. S. Medbury officiating. Mary Adeline (Addie M. on license) (Weicht) Parsell, 1854 - 1939, on 30 Jan 1878, married Austin M. Parsell, 01 Nov 1855 - no date of death. Mary is buried at Flint Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana. Eugene F. Weicht, 1857 - 1932, on 08 Jun 1886, married Effie M. (Silvey) Weicht, 1865 - 1943. They are buried at Block Cemetery. Ida Weicht, died 20 Sep 1865, age 7 years, __ months and 10 days, buried at Old Angola Cemetery. Elizabeth (Weicht) Kirkwood, 03 Jan 1849 - 24 Jan 1869, aged 20 years, 21 days, married Lewis Kirkwood, 30 Oct 1843 - 28 Mar 1902. Elizabeth died a few days after the birth of her son, Leon T. Kirkwood on 09 Jan 1869 and he died 23 Jun 1872. He is buried at Old Angola Cemetery with his mother. Susan married for the second time, Joel M. Dole, 09 Nov 1825 - 09 March 1878, buried at Hollister Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana. Susan married for the third time, John C. St.Clair, no date of birth, died 09 Mar 1898, burial place unknown.
