STEUBEN REPUBLICAN, WEDNESDAY, February 9, 1898, page 8, column 4 SUSANNA H. (SEITZE) STEALY Susanna Stealy died at her home near Angola, March 14, 1875, aged 73 years, 7 months and 29 days. Mrs. Stealy came with her husband from Marion county, Ohio, to the present homestead near Fox lake in February, 1836, where they lived together until August 17, 1849, at which time her husband, Elder John Stealy, died. Mr. and Mrs. Stealy were the first settlers in Pleasant township, and may properly be classed with those benefactors, now rapidly passing away, whose energy and industry have made our present homes of convenience and comfort a goodly heritage. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Susanna H. (Seitze) Stealy, died 14 Mar 1895, aged 73 years, 7 months and 29 days, married Rev. John Stealy who died 17 Aug 1848/49, aged 55 years, 4 months and 10 days. Christian Stealy, 13 Dec 1818 -21 May 1883, married Catherine (Wright) Stealy. Lewis Stealy, 02 Nov 1826 - 21 Jul 1907. John Stealy, born about 05 Nov 1839, died 21 Feb 1862, aged 22 years, 3 months and 16 days. He was a fifer in Co. A. 44 Ind. Vol. Inf. Enlisted 01 Aug 1861, died of typhoid.
