ALBERT L. STEVENS, 04 Jun 1818 - 06 Jan 1901

   Albert L. Stevens was born in Knox county, Ohio, Jun 4, 1818, and 
died Jan. 6, 1901, aged 82 years, 7 months and 2 days.

   His home has been in York township, Steuben county, but on the 
31st of last December he went to visit his son, G. L. Stevens, in 
Stroh, where he suffered a stroke of paralysis, from which he never 
recovered.  Four sons, Charles, G. L., James and Joseph and one 
daughter, Mrs. Wm. Smiley, of Angola, survive their father and to 
them the sympathy of friends is extended.  Funeral occurred at 
Powers church on Wednesday, Jan. 9.  Elder C. S. Medbury 
officiating.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

No wife's name is mentioned.  Neither Mr. and Mrs. Stevens nor any 
of their sons are listed in the cemetery books.  
Daughter, Sener E. (Stevens) Smiley, 19 Sep 1856 - 10 Apr 1912, 
married William Smiley, 22 Feb 1851 - 10 May 1922.  They are buried 
at Circle Hill Cemetery, Angola, Steuben County, Indiana.
