STEUBEN REPUBLICAN, WEDNESDAY, MARCH 7, 1900, page 6, column 2 EUNICE (McCLUE) STROH, 06 Dec 1852 - 02 Mar 1900 Eunice McClue, youngest daughter of John and Maria McClue, was born in Steuben county, Indiana, Dec. 6, 1852, and died March 2, 1900, aged 47 years, 2 months and 26 days. In 1872(?) she was married to John H. Stroh, and to them were born five children, one son and four daughters, who, with the husband, four brothers and one sister, survive to mourn the death of a loving mother, wife and sister. Her life, if uneventful, was rendered beautiful by fidelity to duty. She lived for her family, and in the circle of home, as a wife and mother, hers is a record of duties well performed, the ministrations of willing hands, prompted by a warm, cheerful heart. She was highly esteemed by neighbors and friends as an exemplary woman whom it would be well to emulate. Who can say that "her life was not well spent"?
