LUCIA C. (DOW) STRONG, 01 Jan 1828 - 21 May 1902

   Lucia C. Dow was born at Colchester, Vermont, January 1, 1828, and died 
at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. H. Holderbaum, near Flint, Indiana, 
on the morning of May 21, 1902, aged 74 years, 4 months and 23 days.  July 
21, 1849, she came to Coldwater, Michigan, where on May 25, 1850, she was 
united in marriage with Charles M. Strong, and together the young couple 
faced the trials incident to a pioneer life.  In November, 1881, she 
mourned the loss of her husband by the hand of death, and the following 
year she came to make her home with her daughter.  In early life she 
united with the M. E. church and lived the life of a christian.  In the 
hours of pain she was cheerful and patient.  Her death was triumphant.  
She leaves to mourn their loss, three sons and four daughters.
   Funeral services were conducted by Rev. E. H. Peters of Orland.  
Interment near Coldwater.

   Hattie M. Strong married Charles W. Bradway on 08 Nov 1884.

been 15 years old, possibly 16).
