Deceased was born in Sandusky county, Ohio, October 16, 1820 and moved to Steuben county in 1837 where he resided until his death.  He was married twice, to his first marriage were born 5 children and his second wife survives him.  Funeral services were held at South Scott church, conducted by Elder David Hanselman.
