In Steuben county, Ind., Nov. 1., 1889.  Thomas W. Sutton, aged 46 years and 16 days.
    Mr. Sutton was born in Steuben county.  He served in the army one year and eight months, and came home broken in health from which he never recovered.  He was the father of eight children, three of whom have preceded him to the better land.  A wife, three sons and two daughters are left to mourn the loss of a kind husband and father.

    Thomas W. Sutton was a son of Roswell Sutton, Sr., and his first wife Nancy McMinn.  He was born October 15, 1844, and married Frances I. Brode October 23, 1870, Steuben County, Indiana.  He served in Company I, 129th Indiana Infantry, in the Civil War.  (Info provided by Mary Lou Hermiller)
